Dichroic Fused Glass Jewelry
These Dichroic fused glass pendants are made here at Cubby's, one at a time. There are several steps and several firings in a kiln to get these Dichroic Glass Jewelry pendants to come alive.
Made partly with Dichroic Glass, this glass is famous for it's reflective qualities. Different lighting and positions will give the effect of the glass changing colors.
Once complete, these fused glass pendants are fired at a temperature that "anneals" the glass making them very hard. That means if you drop your pendant, even on a hard surface, chances are it will not break.
If it does , we will repair it if possible or replace it with a similar piece.
You can learn how to make these pendants in one of several classes we offer, here at Cubby's.
One such class consisting of three days (part time) teaches you every aspect of making one of these pendants from the very start of the project. This class is approximately a total of 16 hours. Another class teaches you how to "decorate" the top of a pre-made base pendant. This class is about 4 hours long and you must come back the next day to pick up your piece.
Depending which class you take, you will learn everything you need to know about your kiln and firing. Obviously, the longer the class, the more you learn!
Prices of classes vary depending on the length and your expectations of how many pendants you want to take home with you!
You can buy our Dichroic Glass Pendants by visting our online store or emailing us and tell us what you're looking for as far as color and size. We can not duplicate any original design because of the uniqueness of each piece and the placement of pieces. They start at $15.00 and go up from there. We sign the back of each pendent.
